Venue & Logistics

Can we host both ceremonies & receptions here? And what are the costs?

We can host your ceremony, reception as well as cocktail hours. We don’t charge any venue hire fees for weddings, our wedding packages are based on the number of guests attending (including yourselves). Please see our wedding packages for more details. 

How many guests can your venue accommodate?​

Wedding Ceremony: Our outdoor garden can sit up to 350 guests comfortably, and indoor 400 guests.


Wedding Reception: Up to 400 guests banquet style (seated).

Can we view the venue?

We welcome you to book a viewing with us here or email us to info@settlersmanor.co.nz, and we can show you around our venue and discuss your requirements further. 

Do you offer car parking?​

Yes, we offer plenty of free car parking for you and your guests.

Do you have onsite accommodation?​

For couples wishing to extend their celebration, honeymoon suite accommodation is available as an optional upgrade, offering a private and elevated retreat to relax and celebrate in comfort after your wedding day.

Do you have a wet weather backup plan for outdoor weddings?​

Yes, if the weather does not permit an outdoor wedding, we will discuss with you beforehand and prepare your wedding at our indoor wedding ceremony venue.

​What is the payment procedure for securing our booking?

To confirm your booking, a signed contract and an initial deposit of $1,500 are required. A further $1,500 deposit is due twelve months prior to your wedding date. For bookings made within twelve months of the wedding date, a $3,000 deposit is required.

Are there changing areas for the bride, groom, and/or wedding party?

A complimentary standard bridal dressing room is included for your convenience, providing a private and comfortable space to prepare and refresh on the day.

For couples seeking additional space and enhanced styling, an upgraded luxe bridal dressing room is available as an optional upgrade, offering an elevated retreat to relax and celebrate in style.

Is the site accessible to people with disabilities?​

Yes, we have ramp access for wheelchairs. If there are any other needs, please let us know and we can arrange for you beforehand.

​How long can we have the venue for?

Our standard wedding package includes 7 hours of venue hire, starting from your guests’ arrival time. Venue hire extension is available. As a fully licensed venue, the latest wedding conclusion time is 12:00am (midnight), allowing plenty of time to enjoy your celebration and conclude the evening comfortably.

When do we need to confirm our final number of guests?​

At least two weeks before the wedding date.

What is the minimum number of guests required?

The minimum number of guests varies depending on the season and day of the week. Please refer to our wedding packages for detailed information. Please note that minimum guest numbers are calculated based on adult guests. Children under 10 are charged at half price, and children under 5 are complimentary.

Catering

What food and beverage packages do you offer for weddings?​

We offer the option of a premium buffet menu or plated set menu. Our six-hour beverage package includes a range of wine, beer, juice, soft drinks, tea and coffee. Note that spirits are charged on consumption.

Do you have a children’s menu?​

We do offer children’s menu here, please talk to us for more detail.

Can you cater for different dietary requirements?

Yes, we do. Please let us know your guests’ dietary requirement beforehand and we can arrange the catering for you.

Can we BYO wine?​

Our wedding package already includes beverage as pricing is based on number of guests. However, you are more than welcome to bring your own – just let us know beforehand so we can serve them to your guests (corkage fee applies).

Can we BYO caterers?​

Yes, you can. Please talk to us about alternative pricing if you’d like to bring your own caterers.

Can we bring in additional dishes to add to the buffet?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring in additional dishes to complement our buffet. Our chefs will be happy to serve these alongside our buffet selections, ensuring a seamless and well-presented dining experience for your guests.

Can we do a food tasting before we finalise our menu?​

Yes, you can. Talk to us to arrange a site visit and we can organise food tasting when we discuss your food & beverage selections.

Other Services & Vendors

​Do you include décor in your wedding package?

When it comes to décor, our wedding package includes:

  • Standard round or oblong tables include tablecloths (White or Black), cutlery, a choice of coloured napkins, glassware and tea light candles.

  • A full storage of décor pieces - from vases and silk florals to candle holders, charger plates, draping, among others - available for you to incorporate into your wedding styling

  • Red or black carpet for ceremony (not available in wet or muddy conditions).

  • Present table and wishing well.

  • Cake table, cake stand & cake knife.

  • Easels, mirrors, signage, etc.

  • Chair sashes and table runners (Numerous colours available to match your chosen colour scheme).

  • Several centrepiece choices.

  • Backdrop fairy lights, lighting, fairy light curtains and/or LED screen wall behind the bridal table.

Do you have a list of recommended wedding vendors?​

Yes, we do. We have a list of recommended vendors who provide professional, reliable, and approachable services. If you have any additional requirements or would like further recommendations, please feel free to reach out to us to discuss your needs.

Are we allowed to bring in our own decorations?​

Yes, you are welcome to bring in your own decorations.

​Do you have a dance floor?

Yes, we have a very spacious professional quality, hardwood dance floor that comes with our in-house sound system, laser lighting, moving head lights.

Is the audio system included in the wedding package?​

Yes, it is! Included in the wedding package is a free audio system for your outdoor/indoor ceremony and reception. We also provide wireless microphones for MC and speeches.

Can we have a live band or DJ at the venue?

Yes, you can. We can work out the logistics with them and arrange a suitable area as the dance floor.

Can I hire my own vendors?​

Absolutely. Be sure to let us know your vendors so we can coordinate the logistics with them.

What time can my vendors start setting up for my wedding?

This depends on the time you start your wedding and how long each vendor requires to set up. We can discuss this in detail once a time is confirmed.
